Nexthermal started implementing lean manufacturing in September of 2003. Our lean manufacturing efforts have consisted of:
- 5S
- Streamlined manufacturing cells and layout
- Implemented Kan Ban for sub components
- Lead time reduction initiatives with suppliers
- Pareto analysis of root causes
- Time study, WIP Studies, Bottleneck Studies
While lean manufacturing efforts are never complete, Nexthermal has experience results that have a direct, positive impact upon our customers:
- Lead time reduced from 10 days to 5 days
- On time delivery improved to over 98%
- Scrap rate reduced
- Out put capacity increased 35%without adding staff
