Q. What are the Nextflex flexible tubular heaters made of?
Nextflex flexible tubular heaters have an external sheath made of nickel braid. This external sheath fits into surface groove without any air gaps
Q. What are the major types of Nextflex available?
Q. What watt density are standard stock Nextflexes?
Standard stock Nextflexes are between 55 and 60 watts per square inch. They are high enough so that they can only be used for form in groove applications. They are too high to use for radiant applications; they will heat cherry red and fail.
Q. Why do you offer a "D Shape" Nextflex?
The "D Shape" outperforms conventional round flexible heaters because when formed into a groove it has 72% contact with the groove--compared with 52% with round shapes. This means that the heat is more effectively transferred into the tool--resulting in faster response times and improved energy efficiency.
Q. What are the advantages of Netflex Flexible Tubular Heaters?
Netflex tubular heaters are bendable into nearly all shapes. A bending tool as bending aid is also available from Nexthermal.
These flexible tubular heaters are available in a wide range of diameters, lengths and wattages.
Q. What are the advantages of using Nextflex tubular heaters?
Netflex compelling advantages are listed below:
- Excellent Heat Transfer
- Nextflex D-shape heaters are proven to be faster and more efficient than our previous generation flexible heater in side by side test. (Ask your Nexthermal representative to show you the video.)
- User formable — Shipped in simple to install straight lengths
- Availability — Nextflex heaters ship same day from stock for orders placed before 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time
- Eliminate guesswork — Nextflex true to size heaters do not expand when installed, eliminating risk of heated section outside of the manifold
- Supporting tools — Reduce installation time and improve performance with Nexthermal installation tools
- Technical support — Nexthermal can assist you in selection, installation advice and improving application performance. Nexthermal Tubular Heaters are the next generation flexible tubular heater.
- Heat Test: Previous generation flexible tubular heater (left) vs. the Nextflex (right). With Nextflex you are the clear winner. Side by side test data demonstrates that Nextflex heaters transfer more heat to your tool. The chart shows that the Nextflex heater is very close to the tool temperature when our previous flexible heater shows a differential of more then 100Cº.
Q. What are the benefits of using our flexible tubular heaters?
- Since the External Sheath made of Nickel Braid, it has 3x better heat transfer than stainless steel.
- The flexible nickel braid adapts to the form of the groove.
- Minimum air gap of nickel braid compared to stainless steel versions.
- No Stretching during installation process
- M3 and M4 thread available instead of M2.5
- Not bendable area 30/30 mm instead of 35/35 m
Q. What is the best way to install Nextflex heaters?
You can find detailed instructions on installation with a video demo at this page. Here you will also find the best practices while using
Nextflex Tubular Heaters.
